Volunteer Opportunities There are many opportunities for committee service in SACE. Service in these committees provides SACE members opportunity for professional development and experience that are both personally and professionally rewarding. Following is a general description of the activities of each committee.
Conference Committee
Volunteers on this committee work in the planning and implementation of the SACE annual conference. Tasks include developing programs, scheduling activities and related logistical work.
Consulting Services
Volunteers on this committee visit colleges and employers at the request of the SACE member to provide feedback on office operations and services.
Information Management
Volunteers on this committee participate in planning electronic resources for SACE members. Provides input and direction in developing the website and related information management issues.
Membership Committee
Volunteers on this committee can be responsible for the marketing of the organization to members and potential members, including the welcoming of new members, overseeing production of the membership directory or involved in writing and organizing the SACE Newsletter (SCOOP).
Professional Development
Volunteers serving on this committee are responsible for determining and recommending workshops, orientation, and other educational and training programs to contribute to the professional development of the SACE membership. Also responsible for development of the SACE Professional Expertise Resources Directory. Outstanding volunteer leadership opportunities are available through the following subcommittees:
